As we rounded the bend in the river, a gust of east wind whipped hats off heads and into the murky Amazon river that piranhas call home. Others peered sadly over the rail. I grinned like a caiman. My hat was tied securely and snug in place. Thank you, Safari Hat! My fellow explorers ended the day with red faces in more ways than one.

"Can you hold these for a few minutes, dear?" I've heard that before. She handed me her binoculars while she bartered with the natives. I slipped them into my pocket with my extra film and batteries. I was glad I had on my photographer's vest today. It held all our necessities: bottled water, guidebook, compass, and snacks; in addition to the camera, lenses, and flash attachment. What a worker!

Weather changes quickly in Kenya. As I sipped my English tea before we headed out to our early morning game viewing, I decided to wear my Kenya Convertible Pants. As the weather warmed, I unzipped the legs to cool off a bit. After the safari, we arrived for lunch at the Mount Kenya Safari Club. I zipped them back on and felt more presentable at such an elegant estabishment. Propriety and comfort at one low price.
