Computer Graphics Animation is a rapidly growing field in the world of technology. By definition, "computer animation" is the practice of using computers to generate animations in a virtual 2D or 3D environment. It all begins with computer graphics - creating a 2D representation of a 3D scene in order to evoke an intended emotional response from a viewer. Those graphics are then strung together to create an animation.

Some of the processes involved in animating are storyboarding, understanding color and light, movement and weight, and stringing graphics together via keyframe animation. It is highly unusual for every aspect of the animation process to be attended by one person. The tasks are usually divided among a number of professionals, each specializing in a particular aspect.
